I took this photo on our big family vacation with my husband's parents, siblings and their families. We were all hanging out at the beach waiting for the sunset after a rainy afternoon. As a photographer, I know rainy afternoons make cloudy evenings, which perfectly reflect the setting sun. Enter low tide and shallow tide pools and you have the perfect conditions for a beach shoot. The kids were chasing and playfully splashing each other, the adults were sitting around chatting, and I was photographing it all. It was a perfect evening.
