I had been looking for an excuse to get to Miami for a very long time. I love all things art deco, and the vibrant color pallettes of Miami are so thrilling to me. Up until this trip, I had only seen the city in photos, and on Golden Girls of course. :) When my husband agreed to take a detour on our way home from the Keys so that I could hop out and take some photographs, I was so excited! The Carlyle is one of the hotels I used to drool over in pictures I had seen on the internet. It was as pretty in person as it was in print. I was so excited to get this photograph. And shout out to my husband and kids who circled the block a few times so I could run down Ocean Drive, taking photos of all the sights.
