One of my family's favorite things to do is to head down to Pass-A-Grille beach in the evening, and let the kids play while we watch the sunset. Then we go grab dinner at one of two restaurants that share the same building, across the street from Bon-Aire hotel. I have always been head over the heels for this sign, but the few times I tried to photograph it the lighting was too bright or too dark. One night during one of these trips we decided to sit outside on the patio of the italian restaurant, and I noticed how beautiful the clouds looked over the sign. Parking is across the street from the restaurant, so I frantically asked my husband to watch the kids, threw down my salad fork and beelined it for the car to get my camera. I was determined to get the shot this time! I got it just before the sun disappeared into the Gulf of Mexico.
